Individual Web Project Timeline

All projects will be due before leaving school on Friday, May 8th.

The following is a recommended timeline you may use to help keep yourself on track:

Tuesday, April 21st--Planning sheet due (Worth 10 points)
Wednesday, April 22nd--1-2 pages completed
Wednesday, April 29th--3-4 pages completed
Wednesday, May 6th--Project is completed ready for final review

It will be extremely important for everyone to meet the May 8th deadline as we cannot drag these projects out into summer vacation.

General Web Project Guidelines

Over the years I have added and taken out certain requirements from my activity handouts. Use this list as the actual requirements I will be looking for as I grade your next project:

CONTENT EXPECTATIONS:

Must have a minimum of six pages (references are expected and would not count as a separate page)
Typed content is a must for any good Web site; therefore you will be expected to have an average of 10 to 15 sentences on each page.
All pages must contain hyperlinks to the other pages making up your site. Also, on the homepage you should link to, NPPSD, NPHS, and the Team Homepage
At least one image must be incorporated onto each page of the project (except references).

DESIGN EXPECTATIONS:

Colors have been selected so that all text is readable.
There is a feel of consistency while going from page to page (each page should not feel like an entirely new Website).
Pictures or other objects add value to the site and do not take away from the main message.

GENERAL EXPECTATIONS:

References for both pictures and text information that is not your original work MUST be included.
ABSOLUTELY NO COPYING AND PASTING FROM THE INTERNET ONTO YOUR PROJECT PAGES!!!
Project will not contain spelling or grammatical errors.
Only projects that are fully completed will be put into the gradebook.

Make sure you understand these guidelines before you complete a great deal of work only to find out you misunderstood one of the items above. Communicate with your instructor (that is kind of one of your jobs as a student).

Weekly Progress Report #4

Here is the post where you will leave your comment for the fourth weekly progress report. This comment should be left sometime between Wednesday, May 21st and Tuesday, May 27th (as best you can) for you to earn your five points. Remember you should be leaving one progress report each week.

Weekly Progress Report #3

Here is the post where you will leave your comment for the third weekly progress report. We will adjust the dates slightly from our orignal plan. This comment should be left sometime between Wednesday, April 30th and Monday, May 5th (as best you can) for you to earn your five points. Remember you should be leaving one progress report each week.

Website Progress Expectations & Schedule

As we kickoff the Business Community Project here is a little more information about your weekly progress blogs. Within your comment I will be looking for at least three pieces of information:

1) What progress have you made during the past week?
2) What are you currently working on?
3) What is your next step to accomplish?

Feel free to share any other achievements or roadblocks within your comments as well.

As far as the schedule is concerned here is what I am thinking:

Report #1--To be posted between 4/11-4/14
Report #2--To be posted between 4/18-4/21
Report #3--To be posted between 4/25-4/28
Report #4--To be posted between 5/2-5/5

Remember, you must leave at least four progress reports to earn your 20 points, but you can leave more if you wish. Please be sure to let me know if you have any questions.

As the end of the school year draws closer and closer, we will use the blogging process as a way for you (the webmasters) to report weekly progress you have made as you make contact, meet with executives, design, and then present your sites to the company you chose.
